NSW; Police drug use to be investigated by PIC
The use and abuse of illegal and prescription drugs by New South Wales Police willbe the subject of a new inquiry.
Police Minister JOHN WATKINS says the Police Integrity Commission will look into druguse among officers in an effort to better protect the force and the community.
He says the state already has the country's strictest drug testing regimes for police,and the government will do whatever it takes to improve the system.
