SOME words of warning from the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association: Apparently there are crooked people around who have set up fake car rental companies.

The companies advertise incredibly cheap deals (usual on the internet) and promise to deliver the car to your home after you've paid a deposit. You guessed it... the car never arrives. The BVRLA says that if a deal is too good to be true it probably is. I'd stick to large rental companies or a local independent whose vehicles you have seen in the metal.
