Vic: Motor neurone disease study hit by theft

MELBOURNE, Jan 13 AAP - Groundbreaking research into incurable motor neurone disease
(MND) has been set back 18 months after computer equipment was stolen from a regional
Victorian hospital.
Geelong Hospital director of clinical medical services and neurologist, Dr Paul Talman,
said $20,000 of laptops and electro-physiology hardware were taken from the Neuroscience
department between 7pm, Friday and 9.30am Saturday.
Also missing was a bag containing a memory stick bearing the only back-up copy of results
